Generex Oral-lyn found to be safe in study

Generex Biotechnology (GNBT) has announced that a study finds Oral-lyn to be safe, effective and may reduce complications of insulin dependent diabetes. Full story on CNN, click here to read the announcement. They also announced on Tuesday that 256 drug stores in NYC will be carrying their Crave NX 7-day diet aid spray. This will be available across NYC soon.

Cell Therapeutics

I have been following Cell Therapeutics (CTIC) since the beginning of 2009. When I first posted them as a buy they were in the 30 cent range and they had gone as high as $1.85. When they got to the $1.40 range I expressed my concern about holding them as a recommendation to sell and they shortly went into the 90 cent range. Now they are holding around $1 but I would watch out for them in the next couple of months as Pixantrone is up for approval decision in April and this could bring in a nice profit. I cannot guarantee a profit with any stock and I cannot guarantee that Pixantrone will be approved however I do not see any reason that it will not be approved. I believe that Cell Therapeutics (CTIC) has hit their low.

CHCI posts profit

Comstock Home Building Companies (CHCI) is a company to keep an eye. They returned to profit in their 3rd quarter and they already went up 30% after the news. Keep an eye on this stock for tomorrow morning and for time to come.
I do not guarantee a profit from any stock but I do think this is a stock to look into.

Keep an eye out on Generex (GNBT)

Keep an eye on Generex Biotechnology (GNBT). I have talked about them in the past but I think they are at their bottom now and they have a great pipeline of products. I am not positive but I think there will be some good news in the near future. Lately the only news they have had has been good. I am holding long position on these guys.

I am keeping an eye on Hythiam (HYTM) still as well. I currently do not own them but they have a great potential with their PROMETA program and their contract with Ford. They have been going down lately however this is probably their bottom. They have a couple of possible contracts to be made, though I cannot say they will get these contracts but with Ford on board I am sure they will get more contracts soon. They have not released any news for a while and I think they will start having good news again soon. I would keep an eye out on these two stocks.
It has been a crazy market lately and these are the two that I think are worth looking into. I haven't had other stocks really stand out to me lately, at least not small cap stocks.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals reverse split

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (PPHM) has announced they will be implementing a 1:5 reverse stock split on October 19th. This is to avoid being delisted from Nasdaq as they must bring their price up or face delisting next month. This was voted upon last year by stockholders as a last resort before delisting. They had announced it today they will be implementing it.

Dow touched 10,000

The DOW jumped up and saw 10,001 today. This is the highest the DOW has been this year. JP Morgan Chase (JPM) had released much higher then expected earnings and Intel(INTC) had impressive earnings as well which is to thank for the nice climb up today.

Generex to hold conference call

Generex (GNBT) is holding a conference call Thursday October 15th at 11:00 am EST to update inestors on their drug Oral-lyn and other corporate activities. I am expecting their price to go up on the news but do not guarantee it. I think Oral-lyn will be a big drug once released. It was given the ok for IND by the FDA last month but once approved for release it should be an effective drug to treat diabetes.
